河西地區是唐王朝十分重要的邊防要地,故唐代在河西地區設置了大量的軍事防御機構,但歷代傳世文獻對一些基層的機構多有缺失.通過敦煌吐魯番出土文獻對唐代在河西設置的鎮、守捉、戍、烽作一鉤沉補闕,以期能夠管窺更或是重新構建唐代河西邊防體系.
