Unit 23 Mainly revision-探究活動
設置場景，實現情景教學
教師可以根據第90課第二部分的內容（JOY失足落水，SMITH夫人救女兒）設計一項報道“救出落水兒童” 實際任務：
1）教師設定兒童落水地點和事件經過。
2）教師畫出描述兒童落水并被營救的現場“照片”數張。
3）教師分別為各個小組分發打亂次序的現場“照片”。
4）教師向各個小組交代任務：用英語為各張“照片”寫說明，以便發給《中國日報》。
5）學生根據交代的任務安排好事件發生的次序。
6）學生討論對各張“照片”的英語措辭。
7）學生合作完成此項任務。
8）各小組之間互相進行相互評價，選出最好的說明交代《中國日報》。
9）教師進行整體評價。
在小組活動中教師要引導學生盡量使用有限的英語進行交流。
設置對話內容 完成語言教學任務
教師可以設計一項“購買所缺食品”的任務讓學生來完成。
先讓學生設計出所需的物品，完成下列表格：

根據上表，要求學生完成以下幾個任務：
1）學生反復操練食品的名稱。
2）用英語表達自己喜歡和不喜歡的食品。
3）談談自己擁有什么食品，缺少什么食品，要購買什么食品。
4）如何表達購買食品。
讓學生自己依照上述內容，編寫對話，并進行表演。然后教師可以讓學生繼續就購買所缺食品進行設計，設計去商店購物的對話，教師可以給出地點，購物時間，商店營業時間安排等事項，讓學生就這些內容進行類似的對話表演。
讀短文，編對話
組織學生閱讀下面的短文，分為四個小組，每組閱讀一段。讓學生根據短文內容來編寫對話。
Children of the World
My name is Sanjay．I live in a village in India．My family is very poor，so my brothers all go out to work． But I am lucky－I go to school．I get up early each morning and walk to the school．When it gets very hot，we have lessons outside in the shade（陰影）of a tree．
My name is Inga．I live in a small town in Sweden．The land is very flat（平坦的） here，so I like to go out on my bicycle．When it is snowy，I ski to school．We start lessons very early- at 8 o'clock！Once a week I have dancing lessons．I am also learning to play the violin．
My name is David．I live in a small town in Australia．We are a long way from the nearest（最近的，近的最高級）big city．All the same，there is plenty to do here． I go swimming and surfing in the sea－but not when here are jelly fish（水母，海蜇）around！I also like to play rugby and go fishing．The weather is always warm，and I wear shorts all year round．
My name is Mario．I live in a city in E1 Salvador．This is a very poor country．Our house is made of wood and metal sheets，and we have no bathroom．In the mornings，I work in a carpenter's shop．In the afternoon I go to school．After that，I feel very tired， but I still find time to fly my kite，or practise on my guitar．
范文如下：
— Where’s Sanjay from?
— He’s from India.
— What about his family?
— His family is poor.
— How do you know it?
— You see, most of the children in the family can not go to school.
— How does Sanjay travel to school every day?
— On foot.
— Why so?
— He has no money to pay for the bus.
— But why doesn’t he go to school by bike?
— He’s too poor to have a bike.
— What do you think Sanjay’s school?
— Poor, too.
— Why?
— There’re even no lights in the classroom.
